چکیده
Soft tissue sarcomas are a group of rare malignant tumors with high recurrence and mortality rate. Little progress has been made in the treatment this pathology over past decades. Surgery or without adjuvant/neoadjuvant radiotherapy is still first-line therapy for localized soft sarcomas, chemotherapy an additional option high-risk patients. However, not all patients advanced metastatic benefit from conventional chemotherapy. characterized by heterogeneity biological behavior variety genetic mutations, which indicates perspective personalized based on tumor histotype, molecular characteristics, new small molecule inhibitors signaling pathways. This article provides overview studies effectiveness targeted most common desmoid tumors.

Targeted therapies in soft tissue sarcomas.
Soft tissue sarcomas are rare cancers but because of their association with characteristic chromosomal translocations and activating mutations they may be particularly susceptible to molecularly targeted therapies. Gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GIST) became the paradigm for targeted therapy in solid tumours owing to the success of imatinib, which has transformed the prognosis in this disease...
متن کاملCurrent Molecular Targeted Therapies for Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas
Systemic treatment options for bone and soft tissue sarcomas remained unchanged until the 2000s. These cancers presented challenges in new drug development partly because of their rarity and heterogeneity. Many new molecular targeting drugs have been tried in the 2010s, and some were approved for bone and soft tissue sarcoma. As one of the first molecular targeted drugs approved for solid malig...
متن کاملMolecular targeted therapies in non-GIST soft tissue sarcomas: what the radiologist needs to know
Non-gastrointestinal stromal soft tissue sarcomas are uncommon neoplasms that have a dismal prognosis due to a high incidence of metastases and a poor response to conventional chemotherapy. The identification of characteristic genetic alterations in several of these tumors has opened the window for molecular targeted therapies in patients who have failed conventional chemotherapy. Imaging plays...
متن کاملSoft Tissue Sarcomas
Soft tissue sarcomas are a heterogeneous group of malignant neoplasms of mesenchymal origin. They account for approximately 1% of all cancer diagnoses and 7% of pediatric malignancies (1,2). Just over half of these patients eventually succumb as a result of the disease. Soft tissue sarcomas typically present as asymptomatic large masses within the retroperitoneum or the proximal lower limbs but...
متن کاملSoft-tissue Sarcomas
This article discusses the epidemiology, diagnosis, and management of primary soft-tissue sarcomas (STS). These musculoskeletal tumors are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignancies, which are best managed by multidisciplinary teams in specialist sarcoma referral centers. Historically, the standard for local control of these tumors has been amputation. Evolutions in multimodality treatment ...
